Kanhaiya Kumar joined
Congress on September 28, 2021. Several posters were put by Congress workers to mark the occasion and welcome him into their party.
Now, a photo of one poster is being circulated on micro-blogging platform Twitter with the claim that Kumar was greeted with ‘AC’ jibe in the posters.
In the poster, one can see images of Congress leader
Rahul Gandhi along with Kumar. One can also see ‘AC ke saath’ (with the air conditioner) written on the poster.
Among those tweeting this poster is also BJP Mahila Morcha's National Media Incharge,
Neetu Dabas.
For the uninitiated, ahead of joining Congress, Kumar reportedly took away the AC installed by him in the CPI's state office in
Patna. Since this became public, he has been mocked and ridiculed by several Twitter users.
In the light of this, many Twitter users are posting images of a poster claiming that even Congress took a dig at Kumar by mentioning ‘AC ke saath’ on posters.
TRUTHCongress didn’t take any ‘AC’ jibe at Kumar. The original poster put up by Congress has been digitally-manipulated.

The original poster bore no ‘AC ke saath’ text. The text accompanying the photos read ‘Delhi | Posters welcoming Kanhaiya Kumar into Congress put up outside the Congress office ahead of his proposed joining’.
