The problem of overcrowding on Everest is not new but the unusual visuals and videos of traffic jams on the world's highest peak this season have taken the internet by storm. It’s true that every year, over a hundred mountaineers scale Mt Everest. But this year, climbers got stuck in long queues, apparently causing a traffic jam on the world’s tallest mountain in the world.

The video going viral of climbers waiting in long queues is from 20th May. In the video, we can see mountaineers waiting in a single lane trying to ascend the summit. Meanwhile, it was also reported that two climbers have gone missing. Daniel Paul Paterson (40) along with his sherpa Pas Tenji (23) were reported missing on Tuesday while attempting to summit the world's highest peak, situated on the border between China and Nepal.
