In a bid to combat the rising cost of EVs after the recent revision in the FAME-II scheme, Ather has brought out a new electric scooter, the Ather 450S. It sports a smaller 2.9 kWh battery pack, no touchscreen display and does not have the Warp mode either. All of these omissions have allowed Ather to offer the 450S at an introductory price of Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The 450S still boasts the same 90 kmph top speed as the 450X and also has the same sleek design scheme.
