High tides hit coastal Gujarat ahead of cyclone Biparjoy

High tidal waves were witnessed in the coastal regions of Gujarat on June 12. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an Orange alert for Saurashtra & Kutch Coasts in view of the extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm “Biparjoy” over the east-central and adjoining northeast Arabian Sea. Notably, as per Met dept, Biparjoy will make landfall on Saurashtra & Kutch Coasts on June 15.
