High tides were witnessed at coastal areas of Dwarka as Cyclone ‘Biparjoy’ intensified into ‘very severe’ cyclonic storm on June 11. Expectedly, it will cross the Gujarat coast on June 15. Earlier during the day, high waves were witnessed at coastal areas of Gujarat’s Dwarka near Gomti Ghat and Mumbai, Maharashtra. The severe cyclonic storm ‘Biparjoy’ is very likely to intensify into an extremely severe cyclonic storm in the new few hours but may not hit Gujarat as per the current forecast, according to India Metrological Department (IMD).
