Punjab: Tension in Morinda town after turbaned Sikh commits sacrilege at gurudwara

Morinda town in Punjab's Ropar district is tense after an act of sacrilege at a gurudwara committed by a turbaned Sikh person. The accused was first thrashed by Sikh devotees and the gurudwara employees before being handed over to the police. However, soon a huge crowd protested at the police station demanding that the accused be handed over to them. Some people also tried to barge into the police station. Another protest was held at Vishwakarma Chowk in Morinda.
