In a bid to maintain ‘Swachhata’, the Municipal Corporation in Chandigarh has come up with a unique park set up using recycled materials in Sector 48. ‘Waste to Wonder’ park spread across 1.75 acres under its Garbage Free City mission, has become a unique attraction to Chandigarh’s list of awe-struck initiatives. The structures in the park are made out of industrial and other waste products, such as iron sheets, rods, fans, automobile parts. The park includes various types of structures, including an 18-feet tall sculpture of Modulor Man by Le Corbusier, a sculpture of an outdoor metals lighting tower, a sculpture of a stone family, robotic sculptures, and much more. Even the entries, benches, and bricks in the edges of plant beds are made from the bricks procured from the C&D plant. A Ludo setup is also made from the C&D plant.
