12 dead, several injured as heavy rain batters Rajasthan's Tonk

The District Collector of Rajasthan’s Tonk on May 26, talked about the loss of lives due to the havoc of the disastrous storm that hit the area the previous day. As per reports, as many as 12 people died due to the storm, several houses got damaged leaving some people badly injured. A rescue operation in the area is underway. “12 people died due to the storm. A survey in the area is on. We are searching for people who have been injured. Many got their houses damaged. Some lost their cattle. We are looking for them. Necessary aid will be provided to them,” said District Collector Chinmayee Gopal.
