“We demand compensation for Dr Vandana’s family,” says IMA Kerala Prez

As protests erupted after woman doctor was stabbed to death in Kottarakkara Taluk Hospital, Indian Medical Association (IMA) State President Dr Sulphi Noohu on May 11 demanded that compensation should be given to the family of Dr Vandana. The doctor was stabbed to death by a school teacher who was brought to the facility for a medical examination by the police on May 10. “The attack which has happened at Kottarakkara Hospital and also we demand compensation for the family of Dr Vandana. We request to the government to put the name of Dr. Vandana in the ordinance act. We also request to implement cameras and other systems to monitor the system. We are continuing our strike till 8 am tomorrow,” says IMA State President Dr Sulphi Noohu.
