Kaliyaganj incident happened on the instructions of CM Mamata Banerjee, alleges Sukanta Majumdar

West Bengal BJP workers Dr Sukanta Majumdar and Debasree Chaudhuri launched an attack on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over the Kaliyaganj incident in the state. The leaders on April 27 further alleged that the CM is trying to scare off the BJP supporters. Briefing about the incident, the leaders informed about the death of a BJP protester that took place after he was shot dead by the police. Kaliyaganj violence and protest were triggered post a minor’s gang rape. “This happened on the instructions of WB CM. She and her party is also trying to scare off the BJP voters. We have also received information about someone getting injured due to this and admin is trying to hide it,” Dr Sukanta Majumdar said. “A minor was gang-raped. Everyone saw how the violence erupted. WB CM has accused the BJP over the whole matter. The administration here has arrested several BJP leaders and their family members. Police also shot a relative of a party leader. The police have arrested many BJP leaders since Ram Navami. WB CM should take responsibility of this intelligence failure,” Debasree Chaudhuri said.
