UP: NDRF continues rescue operations in flood-affected Noida’s Sector-135

Noida’s Sector-135 witnessed flooding due to the rise in the water level of River Yamuna on July 15. The rescue operation by the National Disaster Response Force continued in the flood-affected areas.Delhi is also witnessing a flood-like situation, with several areas getting inundated as the Yamuna river breached the danger mark following incessant rainfall. The water level reached the highest level in the last 45 years. Earlier in the day, three teenagers drowned in a ditch, filled with water in the Mukundpur area. The water level of Yamuna river is witnessing a steady decline and it was recorded at 207.98 metres at Old Railway Bridge at 11 pm on July 14. In the wake of the prevailing situation in the national capital, CM Kejriwal on Thursday announced that all government and private schools were being closed in areas where people were grappling with extensive flooding and waterlogging.
