A 32-year-old woman in Mumbai was raped, brutalised and left to die by this man only because she refused to have sex with him. The police have filed the chargesheet in 18 days since the incident was reported on September 10. The chargesheet also says the accused knew the woman and she had avoided meeting him for 25 days. He first assaulted her on the pavement and then inside a tempo, using an iron rod that severely damaged her intestines. The woman died 36 hours later in a government hospital.
