'Micro Racism': Shruti Haasan Condemns Fan's Request for South Indian Accent

However, one question sparked her ire: a request to speak in a South Indian accent. Shruti promptly condemned this as 'micro racism,' urging the fan not to perpetuate stereotypes like 'idli dosa sambar' and criticising the inaccurate imitation. Though she didn't name anyone, her frustration appeared linked to a recent incident involving Shah Rukh Khan, who faced backlash for referring to Ram Charan as 'idli vada' at Anant Ambani's pre-wedding celebration in Jamnagar. Ram Charan's makeup artist, Zeba Hassan, expressed her dismay on Instagram, describing the comment as disrespectful and disclosing that she walked out in protest. Currently, Shruti Haasan is occupied with shooting for Shaneil Deo’s 'Dacoit' alongside Adivi Sesh.
