Thrissur Pooram: Thousands cheers as Thechikottkavu Ramachandran carries ‘Thidambu’

Thrissur Pooram, the mother of all ‘Poorams’, got a kick start as the tusker Thechikottukavu Ramachandran carried the ‘thidambu’ during the ceremonial procession ‘Madathil Varavu’ to the famed Vadakkumnathan temple. Thousands of Pooram enthusiasts thronged to the premises of the temple to witness the Thrissur Pooram. Scores of devotees cheered as Kerala’s beloved one-eyed elephant waded through the corridor of the temple on April 30.
