The project was set up to improve one of the core capabilities and allow it to scale. I provided architectural governance over the various streams to try and ensure alignment, where possible, to the strategic architecture and improvement in design towards best practices.

Strategic Architecture

Designed new architecture for the platform based on Domain Driven Design. The design included the first 4 transitions states to move from the current architecture to the strategic. I also did a number of Proof of Concepts around implementation, including implementing a message queue/ service bus and realising a sub domain in code.

Reconciliation system migration

Was the solution architect for the migration of WPAP's reconciliation system from one datacentre to another. This required re-integrating the 200 various interfaces which include user download, SFTP and internal systems. As part of the process some key banking integrations were created which gave the company a big business benefit above the migration itself.

Managed the move of our production environment from a physical data centre to a new virtual envrionment.

Designed a windows service to process swift payment messages from the Eurogiro network. It integrated with a new SQL database and our existing payment systems
