Last month, our Ethnicity workstream collaborated with Black Women in Asset Management (BWAM) to host a dynamic panel discussion on ‘Sustainability in Real Assets’. Stuart White and ALAN CORR welcomed a diverse panel of cross-sector experts which included Michelle Hilliman, MBA, CFA, Benhilda M. Evelina Olago 🇺🇦 , Dupe Olawande and Anna Skrivanou. Key points from the panel discussion were: ◾️𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 broader than traditional infrastructure and real estate, including natural capital investments. ◾️𝐑𝐞-𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 traditional asset allocation models ◾️𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 conventional wisdom so that we can transition to the ‘blue and green’ economy as fast as possible. ◾️𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 on engagement and positive societal impact. ◾️𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞 personal responsibility and be intellectually curious ◾️𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭 in the ‘Global South’ to accelerate transition industries in these regions ◾️𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐞 radical, intentional and bold leadership to accelerate the change we need to reach NetZero. We celebrated Pride month across our global offices with a huge variety of organised activities. From hearing about experiences of trans colleagues, to drag shows in India to short films showcasing the life of LGBTQ+ colleagues and talks on LGBTQ+ inclusive language in France, the programme of events was rich and varied and underlined our commitment to creating awareness across Pride month.
