A family company at work for a better world™.

About us

At SC Johnson, we believe that a more sustainable, healthier and transparent world that inspires people and creates opportunities isn't just possible – it's our responsibility. Founded in 1886, a heritage of innovation and bold, transparent decisions is why our high-quality products and iconic brands – including Autan®, Glade®, Mr Muscle®, Pledge®, Toilet Duck®, method®, Mrs. Meyers Clean Day® and more – are in homes, schools and businesses in virtually every country worldwide. We have been family owned and managed for more than 100 years and are currently led by our founder’s great-great grandson, H. Fisk Johnson. This ingrains a unique culture in the organisation where the focus is on the next generation, rather than the next shareholder report. Our Mission is about Family. As a global, purpose-led company, we are committed to making the world a better place today and for future generations. That means relentlessly bringing our expertise in science, innovation and partnerships to bear on some of the world's most pressing environmental and health issues like reducing plastic waste and eradicating malaria. Around the world, we use our resources to unlock greater economic and educational opportunities for people and communities where access may be limited, but curiosity and potential are limitless. SCJ people at all levels work to foster open communication and cross functional collaboration. One way the SCJ UK team, who support trusted brands such as Mr Muscle®, Duck®, Glade® and more, collaborate is through monthly meetings to come together on all things business.   Each month is led by a different team and is built around a theme. During the meetings, topics may include business updates, how we’re supporting the local community, events and learnings from Employee Resource Groups and recognizing the hard work of team members.   SCJ believes the strength of our company lies in our people and that we can achieve our best by being together.   Does this team sound like one you want to be a part of? SCJ people like to work together and celebrate together! The SCJ UK team had fun at an Arcade Disco Party filled with friendly competition on classic and old-school games as part of their Great Place to Work recognition festivities.  Thanks to the team for all the incredible work, SCJ people around the world bring their team spirit and passions to work every day, and we are grateful to receive Great Place to Work recognition as a result!

Watch Liverpool’s hilarious ‘Team Meeting’ led by Andy Robertson to celebrate World Earth Month in April, presented by SC Johnson. Robertson has been left in charge of five of his teammates, including Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez, in a creative session on behalf of The Red Way – the club’s commitment to creating a better future for its people, planet and communities – and SC Johnson. On the agenda at the meeting: World Earth Month. Robertson, Salah, Nunez, Ibrahima Konate, Dominik Szoboszlai and Caoimhin Kelleher have been tasked with coming up with ideas to help tackle what LFC can do for the planet.

The world’s most significant issues often require complex solutions.   Reducing our plastic footprint, helping prevent mosquito-borne diseases, and creating opportunities where access may be limited but potential is boundless are some of the ways SC Johnson brings our expertise, capabilities, and partnerships to create meaningful progress toward our vision of a #betterworld.   We’ve been working to do what’s right by for the planet and the people on it for decades; from removing CFCs from products in 1975 (10 years before it was required), to using our 60+ years of insect science to help fight diseases, and from launching our first 100% recycled bottle more than 30 years ago, to donating 5% of pre-tax profits to charities every year since 1937.   We are proud to release the latest version of our Better World Accountability Report, designed to showcase how we are delivering on our commitments and the work that still needs doing. Last month, our European HQ teams came together to connect, brainstorm and have some fun. The theme of their offsite was “Pushing our Limits” which saw the team engage in a mix of activities including: -Working sessions focused on their theme and business priorities -A visit to the stunning Aiguille du Midi -Guest speaker, Marion Haerty, the 4 times World Champion of Snowboarding Freeride, who shared perspective on why ‘there’s no Mountain high enough’ when striving for success This allowed our cross-functional teams in Switzerland to celebrate, learn, and have a lot of fun! #GoFutherWithOurFamily
