You need

Male and female candidates with a degree in Mechanical Engineering / Naval architecture from AICTE approved Engineering College with minimum 50% marks in the final year of engineering, and at least 50% marks in English Language at 10th std or 10 + 2 level. Equivalent degree or degree with specialisation or electives not acceptable. Maximum 28 years as on January 1, 2011 (born on or after Jan 1, 1983 (relaxation for two years for women candidates; for SC/ST as per govt rules). All India Written Examination on August 1, 2010.
