Indian politician Smriti Irani once again proved why she is one of the most relatable and admired figures among women, following her recent interview that blended politics and humour!

Known for her sharp wit and candid demeanour, Smriti didn't disappoint as she tackled the complexities of being a woman in politics, delivering her insights with a dose of humour that resonated deeply with her audience.

During her address, Smriti quipped a quote, "If you are a woman, you need to look like a girl, behave like a lady, work like a horse, and think like a man." This opening remark set the tone for an enlightening and entertaining speech. Acknowledging the unrealistic expectations placed on women, she added, "Now, I can't look like a girl; I try to behave like a lady, and when you work like a horse, you tend to kick around a bit." This candid admission drew laughter and applause, highlighting her ability to connect with women's everyday struggles.

Smriti didn't stop there. She addressed the double standards women encounter, especially in leadership roles. "When you think like a man, you do tend to be assertive; there is a fine line between a gentleman being assertive vs. a woman who might be labelled arrogant," she noted. This observation struck a chord with many women in the audience, who often navigate the delicate balance of assertiveness and societal expectations.

Her advice was empowering and practical: "I recommend to women across the globe to kick away, think on your feet, and you will land on better prospects." Smriti encouraged women to embrace their assertiveness and resilience, advocating for a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
