Both were crucial in our League Two title-winning season with Stevens having scored 23 league goals in a fantastic 2021-22 campaign.

Bernard also celebrated the promotion season with 34 appearances to his name.

Stevens joined the club back in 2019 from Peterborough United after loan spells where his goalscoring form started to be noticed.

His likeable personality and hard-working attitude has seen him adored by the supporters.

Despite injury problems, Stevens took home the Golden Boot Award for the 2023-24 campaign.

In all, Stevens scored 51 times and assisted eight goals in his 133 appearances for the club - our joint-second highest scorer with only current forward Christian Doidge ahead of him.

On his departure, Stevens said: “I’ve loved my time at Forest Green. I’ve enjoyed so many good moments and the promotion to League One was incredible.

"To the fans, you’ve been brilliant with me - I appreciate every one of you.”

Bernard signed from Birmingham City in the same summer and has made 186 appearances in all competitions wearing our colours.

Dom has been known as our local boy as well as catching the eye for his iconic short shorts.

His versatility has made him a fantastic defensive option - and he has always had a willingness and ability to adapt to any position.

Bernard said: “I’ve enjoyed my time at the club and the promotion-winning season was something I’ll never forget.

"I’ve made memories and friends for life whilst being here.”

Both have celebrated success with the club and we are grateful for their efforts during their five years.

Stevens and Bernard have been fantastic servants to the football club and we wish them all the very best in the future.
