Following their return to India from Barbados on Thursday, Siraj and his teammates had a packed schedule - which included attending a meeting and breakfast with PM Modi, a victory parade, as well as a felicitation ceremony at Wankhede Stadium organised by BCCI.
Siraj’s memorable homecoming in Hyderabad
After the players were deemed free to return to their homes, Siraj’s homecoming in Hyderabad was nothing short of exciting in comparison to the nationwide celebrations of India’s historic victory.
His arrival in Hyderabad was marked by cheers, applause, and immense affection from fellow Hyderabadis. The warm welcome highlighted the shared sense of joy and pride cricket brings to millions across the country.

Siraj's economical performance in World Cup
Siraj did well as a bowler in the World Cup at the junctures when Team India expected him to be economical. Siraj did this in three matches by securing a wicket along with an excellent economy rate of 5.18. Siraj started with 1/13 when he played against Ireland wherein he dismissed George Dockrell, and continued his economical performance against Pakistan with figures of four overs [0/19].

His final appearance in the tournament was against the USA, where he bowled another tight spell, giving away just 25 runs in four overs. A washout against Canada ended his World Cup stint, and he was replaced by Kuldeep Yadav in the Super 8 stages.
