Overcoming resistance is about first understanding why people are resistant. Ties back to the ADKAR framework for change- Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability and Reinforcement - Lack of any of these would create resistance to change or make the change impermanent. Desire and Ability - Too much work to make that change - No support through that change - experienced through a previous experience.
