People can’t buy in to a message they don’t understand. This is a very common problem. People will over complicate their message and lose their audience. Sometimes it’s due to over selling, sometimes it’s due to focusing on features vs benefits, sometimes it’s by over articulating the message. Regardless the reason, if people can’t quickly and easily grasp your message, they don’t remember it. Keep it simple, short, and meaningful.
