This definitely willl help crystallize your interest, and sound in your area of interest

I gained a lot of experience in this profession, from the beginning until now, from cabling work to data center management and virtualization, sanstorage, network and hardware and server troubleshooting.

I would LEARN something at a discount and not worry about money at the outset. Mess around with a subject and as one becomes proficient then - sorry about this - as a Jedi Master ( LOL ) you can bill at a rate of $125 hour or more. But do not learn everything about everything grasshopper for that is impossible. Learn alot about one thing.

You don’t always have to reinvent the wheel! Everyone has their own experiences with things, go and see what others have experienced as you build your own experience for different things

This part is to the MOST DIFFICULT for anyone trying to get VOLUNTARY or even PAID commercial experience after doing training and learning. The current UK Job Market from my own POV in the last 8 years has shown it is clearly difficult for anyone who is Brand New fresh out of School or University to get a job even as a 1st Line Technical Support Analyst or Level 1 Data Center Technician. To get your 1st job your going to need alot of tenacity and perserverance and have this in the back of your mind that your competing against 100's of other candidates who are more experienced then you. Solution? Bring up voluntary IT Troubleshooting you have done in School or College or even your University. It will definately help you get in the door.

I will be humble and say that at this point I have developed a MIXED reputation for various reasons. I cannot stress this enough your Recruiter and even Talent Acquisition contacts is ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL. If you want your name and experience to be put through the door of companies so they can see you. You must work closely with your recruiters as a candidate. Always call them back. Don't ghost them

We call them the SOFT skills for a reason and they are invaluable even more so then just HARD skills in technology: Phone Manners when talking to clients and customers Email Communication Manners and Etiqutte Messaging people appropriately in a corporate environment in Microsoft Teams or Slack Being able to respond to tickets in an IT Service Management Ticket System.
