I'm not sure what these IoT devices mentioned here are supposed to be. Ideally they are managed centrally by people who know what they are doing. You don't need to educate the whole organization how to handle IoT devices when it is not their responsibility. If you just want to hand out devices that are connected to the internet and have limited security capabilities by design and spread control throughout the organization, I can only wish the best of luck...

At this point, I am against allowing IoT in organization especially when security is the concern as we don't have sufficient means to secure them. Instead, we need to do more research and invest more on finding ways to secure IoT devices.
