I have led multiple engagements and one of the first things I aced was "over communicating". Many a time, a sales / account / operations lead procrastinate on sharing "bad news" which allows mistrust to be created between the client and the organisation. The best training happens in a real pitch. Take your team members on real sales calls and pitch. They will learn the most. A match experience cannot be matched with n no. of net sessions. It's something like that. Make simulations of pitch and can put them for it.

Not providing a sales pitch is perfectly fine but you have to provide pitch points to make the communication clear and concise. To set the standard: 1. Provide a written document mentioning the USPs and top pitch points. 2. Train sales agents to use these pitch points by first making them learn these well and secondly by asking them to practice during demo sessions. 3. Keep updating and revising the pitch points as product and market change

Putting a clear check list for every process created will enhance effective communication, proper records and monitoring will support clear communication bridging any gaps.

I like to think of it more as “setting expectations” with “clarity”. Listening to the team, engaging them and encouraging them to endorse and sign off.

My personal opinion around many issues or challenges that we face in corporates can be resolved diligently if the feedback from the people concerned is heard in an unbiased manner and actions are drived from the feedback to resolve the issues or challenges. I believe this certain condition also falls in the same category. A team is a group of people who work together without instructions and taking the decision at their own. Think like a football team where all player are working together without being micro managed.

Communication troubles start for a variety of issues, real and imagined. First step: Clearly state rule 1-Presume Positive Intent. Everyone must first presume positive intent, E.G., the manager's question isn't asked because of a "trust" issue. The manager wants to see if there is anything that can be of help to you. The manager wants to close the order too. Perhaps the manufacturer's questions regarding the requested pricing support, isn't about increasing your margin on the "back end". Rather, if the price is really too high: Can we check to see if the client understands the TRUE value proposition? Or Despite the specification or "We need X demands", the client really needs the less sophisticated product or service. (- cost/+margin)

Based on my experienced, to address communication issues in our sales team, we can monitor and measure their communication effectiveness through key performance indicators (KPIs) such as: - Gather feedback from customers about their interactions with the sales team. Identify areas for improvement based on customer voice. - Conduct regular surveys to measure team members' perceptions of communication within the team. Identify pain points and areas that need improvement. - Try to measure and track the response time to customer inquiries and internal requests. To ensure their meet kpi target. - Conduct training and development based on above measurement, and monitor the effectiveness of development.

Clear OKRs need to be set and clearly communicated to the team. A simple tool to track and monitor the progress also required. Make sure that we don’t change the target easily since it will lead confusion for the team. Measurement should be fair and transparent, and any good results need to be followed by proper recognition.

OKRs are a great way to monitor and measure. Here is a brief on OKRs: O - Objective is a definition of a Goal to be achieved in the future, It sets clear direction and provides motivation. KR - A Key results is a metric with a starting value and a target value, that measures progress towards an Objective. An initiative is a description of the work you will do to influence a Key result. If an objective is a destination and key result shows distance to go, initiative will show what you will do to get there (take a car, bus, train) We have Implemented OKRs with great success, recommend this to everyone.

Lack of understanding of the product proposition and competitive standing is a significant barrier for the sales team to communicate effectively with customers. Multiple times, I saw teams with simple Excel-based tools or charts were able to communicate better, giving them confidence and improved sales. In addition to that, the use of CRM tools enhanced the consistency in communication as prioritization and reminders automatically avoid unconscious slippage in the follow-up processes

Appeciate good initiatives publicly so that team members can easily pick it up and adapt.. extra mile awards for timely addressing client concerns will encourage team to take proactive measures before escalations

Il n'est même pas évident pour certains de revoir leurs manières de communiquer, la considérant comme étant normale. A mon sens, il faudrait: 1. Faire comprendre à chaque collaborateur que ses collègues/clients peuvent s'exprimer, réfléchir et comprendre les choses d'une manière différente 2. S'accorder à trouver avec chacun un langage médian où ce qu'on exprime est susceptible d'être compris de la même manière par la plupart des personnes. 3. Faire adhérer l'équipe à un objectif commun où chaque membre à son importance et qui ne peut être atteint que collectivement.
