Apple TV is now streaming “Fancy Dance”! We are excited to share that the film “Fancy Dance” is available to stream on Apple TV. The film, which stars Academy Award Nominee Lily Gladstone and deals with the struggle and heartbreak surrounding the difficult subject of the #MMIP crisis, was the first film to utilize the Cherokee Film Commission's incentive program. The film was shot throughout Cherokee Nation and largely features Native American talent and crew. We are so proud of this film, its message, the cast and crew, and the role that #CherokeeFilm was able to play in bringing it to life.

Each production that #CherokeeFilm brings into our reservation provides a positive impact on our local economy and encourages the hiring of #MoreNatives in front of and behind the camera. Filmed on the Cherokee Nation Reservation, “Fancy Dance” was the first film to utilize Cherokee Film Commission’s incentive program and employed many Native actors and crew members to help tell its story. This is what narrative sovereignty looks like. 👏🏽 We are very proud of this film and its impact, both artistically and economically. We hope you get the chance to view this powerful film, streaming now on Apple TV.
