DeZURIK specializes in slurry handling valves for isolation in demanding applications. Depending on pressure, temperature and percent solids, the following valve styles provide maximum performance in abrasive slurries.

All APCO Swing Check Valves (CVS-6000/6000A, CVS-250/250A and CVS-EDV) are used to prevent the back flow of fluid by closing before flow reversal, thereby preventing slam and water hammer. DeZURIK Pump Check Valves are used to reduce the possibility of water hammer throughout the system by controlling valve opening and closing speeds so the operation does not cause pressure surges in either direction. The DeZURIK Pump Check Valve also prevents reverse flow and pump back spin. DeZURIK can provide custom-designed and engineered PEC or PEF Eccentric Plug Valves or BAW AWWA Butterfly Valves for pump flow control applications. Pump Check Valves are specially designed to protect pumps from water hammer, reverse flow and backspin. Typical applications of powered Pump Check Valve systems are municipal installations with long runs, hills or anywhere there are major changes in elevation. Pump Check Valves are also used for industrial process systems such as the primary cooling towers in the power generation industry.

DeZURIK's Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) is designed and manufactured to meet custom field application requirements. The HPU skid design includes all necessary components and a control panel to drive single or multiple hydraulic cylinder valve actuators. Custom HPU skids are utilized in industrial applications across various markets including mining, refining, power, marine, and metal processing. The custom HPU is available in a range of configurations, including high pressure hydraulic with or without accumulation, low pressure air over water, or nitrogen over water. Custom designs can accept various power sources such as electric, gas, or diesel. Custom HPU skid designs are engineered to meet challenging environmental criteria and site space constraints.
