Earlier this spring, members of our EKC team spent time connecting with our partners in western Kansas! Here is what our team members were up to: • In Garden City, our team reconnected with the Garden City Community College Cyber Program team and Jobs for America's Graduates - Kansas Director of Employer Engagement, Joni Bolen. We enjoyed an energizing discussion around educational opportunities in Garden City and surrounding areas. • Next, our team traveled to Sublette, meeting with members of the Southwest Plains Regional Svc, Northwest Kansas Economic Innovation Center, Inc., and several USD representatives discussing learning pathways to spark interest in cybersecurity careers. • In Dodge City, our team met with Dodge City/Ford County Development Corporation, making great strides in implementing infrastructure that will power the Heartland Cyber Range. • Finally, in Great Bend, the EKC team spoke with Barton Community College, Great Bend - USD 428, Great Bend Chamber of Commerce, and the Great Bend Economic Development team discussing different approaches to helping our region grow through tailored programs and infrastructure development. This trip was just another step in connecting with our entire region to help aid Kansans in reaching new heights. We are energized by the momentum and ready to implement several initiatives as a direct result of these visits! #Innovation #Kansas #Growth #KS #Cyber #Cybersecurity

Last weekend, our EKC team was proud to sponsor and take part in BSides Kansas City. Our booth in the BetterMEnt Village featured an engaging Cyber Range Demo, showcased our EnterpriseKC Constellation Hardware, offered Interactive Survey Questions and Handouts, and even included fun Games! Connecting with cyber talent from all corners of the region and at all stages in their journey was truly invaluable. We owe a huge thanks to our friends at BSides Kansas City, especially Eric H. and Dallas Haselhorst, for making it all happen. We're already counting down the days until the next event as we collectively continue building a Cybersecurity Center of Excellence for the region! #BSides #Cyber #Kansas #Cybersecurity #KC

We are excited to share that we have expanded our 2023-2024 Student Ambassador program to three more universities! Please welcome Sophia Carr, Christopher Ratliff, Aaron Elwood, and Sophia Hunt as they join our team. These students are leaders in cybersecurity at their colleges, and we cannot wait to see them thrive in the region. Throughout the semester, all of our student ambassadors have worked together to hold cybersecurity conferences, host cybersecurity events, create scenarios for our EKC Capture-The-Flag event, and work with local high school administrators to promote the integration of cybersecurity curriculum in their respective districts. Again, we are ecstatic to have these new ambassadors join us, and we know they have a bright future in cybersecurity. #SchoolAmbassador #Leadership #CyberSecurity #STEM #Cyber
