Our community means everything to us - and supporting our local homebuyers is always top of mind. Warsaw Federal President and CEO Robie K. Suggs joined Senator Brown and local leaders this morning to support the Stop Predatory Investing Act. Introduced in early July, this bill would prohibit investors acquiring 50 or more single-family rental homes from deducting interest or depreciation on those properties. This means our residents will have a chance to buy a home. According to the press conference, two big investors currently own more than 12,000 homes in three Ohio markets. “Many properties located in Hamilton County attract investors because we have lower prices, and decent rents, compared to the rest of the country," said Suggs. "Investors are looking to build their portfolios in some of the most disinvested neighborhoods, leaving many renters susceptible to displacement." Read more about this bill: https://bit.ly/3DCNdNm
