#FarmFridays We are still reveling in the fun we had back in May for Gaia Day, our annual celebration of our farm and employees. Staff flew in from around the country to get reacquainted with our Farm and each other, and to celebrate another year of hard work! Here's a behind-the-scenes look at Bacopa growing happily in our new greenhouse at the Gaia Farm for #FarmFriday Bacopa typically grows in tropical climates and loves areas like ditches where there is consistent moisture and—in many cases—contaminated water runoff that affects its purity. When we were unable to find a sourcing partner that met our high-quality standards, we decided to grow it ourselves in our greenhouse. By doing this, we KNOW we're getting Bacopa that is pure and potent—resulting in the best quality herbal supplements! Bacopa is traditionally used for cognition and brain support and is found in both single- found in both single-herb and multi-herb formulations. We harvest Bacopa approximately every six weeks, netting about 100 kg each harvest! In 2024 alone, we are prepared for 1,000 kg of this amazing herb! More about our farm: https://lnkd.in/gsAqxmhg

Last Friday, our fabulous Formulations Manager Susan Hirsch was the keynote speaker at Jackson Square Lavender Festival's Herb Lunch in Oak Ridge, TN. With an audience of herbalists (and aspiring herbalists), Susan talked about the importance of a healthy soil microbiome and the role regenerative agriculture practices (like those used at the Gaia Herbs Farm) in keeping the soil healthy to grow healthy plants. She also presented on the traditional use of Yarrow, and its connection to soil and human health!! Outside of Susan’s presentation, we were proud to sponsor the festival’s Children’s Art Spot!
