On our 5th anniversary, we’re honored to have our impact and next phase of culture-defining work in Vanity Fair! 5 years ago, Gold House began our culture-shaping work with the debut of Crazy Rich Asians, convening the community behind the first-ever #GoldOpen with Director Jon M. Chu and his cast. The film broke records and began a groundswell of excitement and investment in Asian Pacific stories that led to this year’s historic Academy Awards. Since Day 1, a lean but mighty co-founding team of passionate volunteers has invested thousands of hours connecting with hundreds of leaders while building our now history-making ventures including: - Co-Founders Kevin Lin, Janet Yang, Patrick Lee, Maggie Hsu, Sanjay Sharma, Kevin Nishimura, James Roh, Kirby Lee, Jeremy T., and Bing Chen - The first program directors Megan Ruan, Mikkoh Chen, Yao King, Kaylyn Shibata, Cindy Joung, Laura Choi, Ben Chu, CPA, Chiharu Iijima, James Kuk, Josh Jun, and Christopher Au and their 100-person global Fellowship army - The next Board Directors once we incorporated as a nonprofit including Prabal Gurung, Michelle Lee, and Daniel Dae Kim; and our newest Directors Agnes Chu and Helen Lin - And long-standing collaborations with Eric Feng, Nina Yang Bongiovi, Susie Nam, Michelle Tang, Christina Chou, Sheri Bryant, and Tim Chang Now, with a full time team, Gold House has built the leading cultural ecosystem focused on “equitable excellence”: identifying the people, projects, and platforms that impact and reach the most communities while empowering them to foster expansive socioeconomic change. Alongside key leaders and allies, we unite, invest in, and champion Asian Pacific creators and companies through innovative programs and platforms that guarantee commercial viability for cultural imperatives. We work with artists and every major media company to reshape public narratives; partner with global companies and investors to redefine existing power structures; and unite our community in celebration and excellence to reimagine possibilities. Now, we begin our next phase, Gold Bridge, to better connect industries, multicultural communities, and continents. Thank you to everyone committed to building a tomorrow for all! 🔗: goldhouse.org/vanityfair 📷: Daniel Seung Lee

We are proud to have our Executive Chairman, CEO, and Co-Founder, @BingChen, on the inaugural @LATimes Most Influential People List, which includes cultural titans Eva Longoria, Shohei Ohtani, and Lebron James; business leaders Dominic Ng, Bob Iger, and 99 Ranch’s Jonson and Alice Chen; Vice President Kamala Harris and advocates Nithya Raman and Alexandra Suh; and many more reshaping our world. Gold House was founded by Hollywood, Silicon Valley, and Madison Avenue leaders, so to be recognized by one of our homes–the City of Angels where we’ve imprinted offices, programming, investments, the seminal Gold Gala, and more–is deeply personal and meaningful. We’re looking forward to continuing to invest in and build with the gateway city to the Pacific. We had the distinct honor of awarding the inaugural Cultural Impact Award at the 77th annual Cannes Film Festival! This award marked Gold House's launch at the legendary film festival through a partnership with the American Pavilion's Emerging Filmmaker Showcase to spotlight diverse cinematic voices from across the globe. We screened 36 official selection films alongside an esteemed selection committee to select 6 outstanding short films across documentary, narrative, and LGBTQ+ categories to recognize.
