The Barbie™ x Keds capsule collection brings together two classic American brands, combining fashion-forward Keds silhouettes with colors, materializations, and detailing inspired by some of Barbie’s™ most iconic looks.   The Barbie™ brand is celebrating its 65th anniversary all year long and the collection features a nod to the very first doll, as well as additional styles that capture quintessential Barbie™ style. Captured by the acclaimed fashion photographer Cass Bird, the campaign highlights Keds as a timeless and enduring fashion essential, transcending generations. Showcasing the Keds Champion, worn by both Christy and Grace, the campaign underscores the versatility of this iconic style, emphasizing Keds’ legacy as a classic American brand with a playful and optimistic spirit. Across decades, Keds has been a trusted foundation for self-expression, embraced by style-setters, icons, and everyday rebels. Each generation rediscovers its timeless style, infusing it with new energy – a tradition Keds proudly upholds and celebrates with the launch of this campaign.

Keds is getting sweet just in time for spring, due to a new partnership with Magnolia Bakery. The prolific footwear brand has announced today its latest collaborator. The two companies worked together for the first time on a limited-edition, three-style capsule. The styles feature confetti sprinkles and other cake decorations.

Keds’ signature Champion sneaker model is getting a modern and inclusive update. According to the footwear brand, it has updated its archival style from the 1960s to offer a more inclusive fit with an extended size range. Called the “Keds Champion Gender Neutral,” the sneaker features the brand’s recognizable CVO upper, an updated textured midsole, and gender-neutral last shape. This new iteration of the Keds Champion is offered in sizes 5 through 14.5 in medium and wide widths.

Introducing the Keds Champion Gender Neutral—the everyday sneaker for everyone. This new iteration of the iconic style features a broader, more inclusive fit. Taking design cues from a 1960s archival Keds Champion, it expands on some of the classic elements central to the timeless silhouette, like the recognizable CVO upper. It also features updated textured midsoles, a gender-neutral last shape, and extended sizing options. To bring the campaign to life we worked with the phenomenal production company Family Projects and Brooklyn-based photographer Jacob Consenstein to photograph and interview three New York-based artists who styled our new gender-neutral sneaker in their own unique ways. There’s Kalen (she/her), a textile designer and founder of brand Upstate, who describes her style as confident, creative, and comfortable. Mimi (they/she), a community muralist and portrait painter, who enjoys using the process of making a mural to help them create style in their everyday life. Lastly, there’s John (he/him), a guitarist and singer-songwriter who aims to live, dress, and make music in a way that allows others to feel comfortable expressing themselves. John also composed all the original music in the videos created for this campaign. The Keds Champion Gender Neutral is now available at Keds.com in extended sizes (5-14.5) and medium and wide widths.
