Tomorrow’s the big day! Dan Neyer will kick off his 65th birthday at 4:00 AM by kayaking 15 miles on the Ohio River (7.5 miles upstream & 7.5 miles downstream) and will spend the rest of the day biking 65 miles and hiking 26 miles on the Little Miami Scenic Trail. Each year, Dan selects different non-profit organizations to support for his birthday challenges; this year, he will be supporting Move Beyond Surviving, ADVENTURE CREW, and other organizations. He and his wife, Kris will be matching contributions made to Move Beyond Surviving up to a total of $10,000, and they will be also donating that same amount to the other organizations they are supporting. It’s almost time for Dan Neyer’s annual birthday challenge! On July 11th, Dan will celebrate his 65th birthday by kayaking 15 miles on the Ohio River (7.5 miles upstream & 7.5 miles downstream), biking 65 miles on the Little Miami Scenic Trail, and hiking 26 miles, also on the Little Miami Scenic Trail - all to support local nonprofits. This year, he has chosen to support Move Beyond Surviving, ADVENTURE CREW, and other organizations through his challenge. Dan and his wife, Kris will be matching contributions made to Move Beyond Surviving up to a total of $10,000, and they will also be donating that same amount to the other organizations they are supporting. Since Dan’s 60th birthday, his challenges have helped to raise and donate over $400,000! Move Beyond Surviving is dedicated to empowering breast cancer survivors to overcome the emotional, physical, and mental impact resulting from their disease by physically challenging themselves in nature. Engaging in outdoor adventures, such as hiking and kayaking, can profoundly affect a survivor’s ability to live a life in which they thrive. Adventure Crew is an organization that helps children of various ages develop the courageous spirit to step out of their comfort zone and discover new worlds – outside in nature and inside themselves in order for these mostly city children to live a more physical and healthier life.
