Protecting Those Who Protect Our Nation
About us
Pentagon Force Protection Agency is a civilian Defense Agency within the Department of Defense. Our law enforcement officers protect and safeguard the occupants, visitors, and infrastructure of the Pentagon and associated facilities, including the Mark Center and Defense Health Headquarters. This critical mission is accomplished through the dedication of police officers; criminal investigative and protective services agents; threat management agents; chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosives technicians; anti-terrorism/force protection and physical security personnel. Service is paramount to everything we do at PFPA. Pentagon visitors and government employees can spot our employees providing emergency services, parking enforcement, lock installation/services, classified waste disposal, access control, building pass issuance, mail screening, and law enforcement. For information about available positions at PFPA or visiting the Pentagon, visit our website.

Today is National #PTSDAwareness Day. According to the National Center for PTSD, 6 out of every 100 people will experience Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) at some point in their lives. However, due to the nature of a career in #LawEnforcement, police officers are two to four times more likely to experience #PTSD symptoms than the average person. Signs you or someone close to you is struggling with PTSD include: - Intrusive memories - Avoiding people or places tied to the event - Trouble concentrating - Easily startled or angered - Mood changes - Self destructive behaviors If you recognize these symptoms in yourself or a love one, reach out to someone you trust and seek the support you need.
