    Best Featured Actress in a Musical nominee Nikki M. James wore custom Stuart Weitzman NUDIST sandals paired with a custom LOVELETTER CLUTCH to the 77th Annual Tony Awards. James was nominated for her role as prominent journalist, educator, and civil rights and women’s rights activist Ida B. Wells in the hit Broadway musical “Suffs.” Stuart Weitzman partnered with the team at “Suffs,” James and James’ stylist Brian Solis to customize her accessories, a partnership that highlights SW’s purpose of creating designs that empower women with strength and confidence as they step into their next milestone moment. “I’m really excited,” says James. “The Tony Awards are my favorite night since I was a little girl, and to be invited to be a part of it in this way for the second time is truly, truly, really, really special.” For her shoes, Stuart Weitzman customized NUDIST sandals with over 1,500 hand-applied gold crystals and a custom bow detail. Solis has incorporated bows into each of James’ looks over the past two years to honor the sisterhood and bond within the “Suffs” cast and company. The inspiration behind the bow traces back to the early days of the “Suffs” workshop at the Public Theater, when Nikki was pregnant with her daughter, Isla. The cast supported Nikki through the initial stages of motherhood, and Solis has incorporated a bow in each of Nikki’s looks since as a symbol of this camaraderie. James completed her look with a customized LOVELETTER CLUTCH designed to pay tribute to Ida B. Wells. It features a quote from Wells’ book “The Light of Truth: Writings of an Anti-Lynching Crusader” and a mention of the Memphis Free Speech newspaper, of which she was co-owner and editor. The quote states, “The way to right wrongs is to turn the light of truth upon them.” #StuartWeitzman

Throughout June, our Prouder Together employee business resource group (EBRG) curated a number of #PrideMonth activations to support, recognize, and celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and its resilience. Around the world, our team members: ✨ Joined Pride Month kickoff parties in our London, New York City (NYC), and Tokyo offices 💰 Participated in a day of finance education specific to the LGBTQIA+ community with Fidelity Investments and our Priority You Wellbeing Group 🥘 Launched Pride 365 with the Hetrick-Martin Institute, where Tapestry volunteers can serve hot meals to homeless LGBTQIA+ youth in NYC each month 📰  Stayed in the know with Guide to Pride, an internal newsletter featuring employee stories, relevant benefits for LGBTQIA+ employees, and more 🌈 Marched in Pride Parades around the world including Los Angeles, Rome, London, and NYC – and Tokyo back in April!     As the school year comes to a close, Stuart Weitzman wants to celebrate our continued education partnership with College for Creative Studies in Detroit. For the third year, we sponsored a semester-long program, drawing upon our brand Purpose of empowering the next generation of designers to make bold moves.   Students worked in teams on a project to create innovative footwear designs together with inspiration for color, materials and embellishments, all tailored to the SW consumer. We invited the students to our headquarters in NYC in February to present their mid-term review with feedback from members of the SW Executive and Design teams. The students’ final presentation took place in April, and the program concluded with a Stuart Weitzman private review at the school in Detroit during their end-of-year fashion show.   A special thank you to everyone who helped bring this partnership to life!    #StuartWeitzman

    Get Met Gala ready with Angel Reese and Stuart Weitzman.       The basketball phenom stands strong in the EVA 75 SLINGBACK for her Met Gala debut. The custom design was crafted with hand-dyed seafoam satin and featured over 600 crystal embellishments, each placed meticulously by hand.     This was a milestone moment for Angel: Not only does it mark her first-ever Met Gala, the event also fell on her 22nd birthday. During her college career at Louisiana State University, she helped her team win the NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship in 2023 and was named NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player the same year. She joined the Chicago Sky team as forward in April after being selected as seventh overall pick in the 2024 WNBA draft last month.    Angel’s Met Gala look was styled by Naomi Elizée.     #StuartWeitzman   #MetGala  #StandStrong

    Excited to share that our parent company, Tapestry, recently participated in #CareerDiscoveryWeek for the third year! With this, we welcomed over 20 students from New York City's High School of Arts and Technology to our headquarters in Hudson Yards for a day of immersive learning. The day ended with a “Product Design Challenge” focused on sustainability and women’s empowerment, which included a presentation to a panel of judges across Tapestry and its brands, including our very own Juliana Naso, Senior Director, Merchandising Strategy.   #StuartWeitzman

    It was pencils up for future designers here at Tapestry during Career Discovery Week!   We recently had the pleasure of hosting 20+ students from New York City's High School of Arts and Technology for an immersive day of design and retail education. Curriculum included: ✏️ A look at the day-to-days and career journeys of our cross-functional teams ✏️ A tour of our Atelier for a behind-the-scenes look at how products come to life ✏️ A Product Design Challenge testing what they learned by ideating new products for our brands, tying in sustainability and women’s empowerment Career Discovery Week, led by Partnership for New York City and WeLoveNYC, provides thousands of NYC-based high school students with exciting hands-on career experiences outside of the classroom.
