SFRTA/Tri-Rail Dispatch System
CWA, as a sub-contractor to Ansaldo STS, is responsible for the design and oversight of construction for the Ground Based Network (GBN) to support the new dispatch system at Pompano Beach and West Plam Beach. Consisting of leased lines and Verizon Wireless 4G to accommodate the code line from office to field CPs, Radio Over IP (ROIP) and capacity for PTC data traffic.

SFRTA/TriRail Dispatching Code Line Backup

A portion of SFRTA commuter RR was dispatched using AT&T leased lines with analog modems that proved historically unreliable for a 24/7 operation. CWA engineered and implemented a replacement system that upon failure of the AT&T lines, automatically switched to Verizon Wireless 3G/4G to provide redundant pathway reliability.
