How do you use tech to be a more efficient consultant?
It is important to understand the cost vs benefits of automating tasks. Though automating tasks can be beneficial in terms of efficiency, I know of companies that spent money that they didnt have which caused them to shut down the business. Also automation has its own hidden dangers. Your source of data for automation should be evaluated regularly to ensure that they are relevant. For example companies that rely on excel files for automating calculations sometimes use old data which hasnt been updated which yields incorrect numbers. Overall I strongly recommend that things have to be evaluated carefully and the benefits understood before automating tasks.

How can small businesses use business alliances to access new markets and customers?
There is another business alliance where you collaborate with another business to help them fulfill requirements that they dont have the bandwidth to do so. A simple profit sharing agreement would work here. In our case our clients shares their billable rates and we share our costs. We then split the profits. This is a fully transparent relationship which helps both parties.
