TBG | The Bachrach Group is partnered with a 3PL company in the Houston area on their search for an International Business Development Manager. This role is responsible for generating revenue by identifying, prospecting, and acquiring new clients on an international scale and maintaining the client base for the entire company. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of business development experience within supply chain, 3rd party logistics and freight forwarding along with a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or any related field.


Responsibilities:


Business Development - Identify and priority clients in target markets and industries; Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to achieve revenue targets and expand client base; Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, marketing and networking; Conduct market research to stay informed of industry trends, competition, and other emerging opportunities.


Account Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with decision makers and stakeholders; Understand clients' business objectives, challenges and requirements to create solutions that address their needs; Act as trusted advisor to clients, offering recommendations to optimize logistics operations; Provide ongoing support and assistance to ensure client satisfaction and retention.


Sales Performance and Reporting - Track and analyze metrics as well as pipeline development, conversion rates, revenue growth etc.; Prepare reports and forecasts on sales activities, achievements for management review; Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions that align with clients' requirements; Present proposals and negotiate terms / pricing agreements with clients; Continuously seek opportunities to upsell / cross-sell additional services.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or any related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of business development / sales experience specifically with international clients and markets within 3PL, freight forwarding and supply chain industry
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Proficient with MS Office and NetSuite
  • Willing to travel up to 25% as needed

Salary range: $75,000 - $100,000 base salary DOE
