This position is with Resolution Life US and we are seeking a qualified actuarial candidate to work independently on actuarial analyses and modeling assignments, enhance efficiency of existing processes and provide support for actuarial decisions as part of the Modeling Production Team.

Profile Description
Responsibilities include the following:
- Responsible for building models and projections for various life and annuity products under various accounting bases
- Meeting deadlines of producing production results
- Review and analyze results to communicate to management, with an emphasis on clear, concise explanations
- Ensure that modeling procedures comply with internal control requirements (SOX/MAR)
- Collaborate on annual assumption setting updates including DAC unlocking and LDTI
- Support Principles Based Reserving (PBR) requirements
- Assist with Modeling-related Transformation initiatives and M&A projects, as needed
- Maintain/create clear, relevant, robust documentation for processes you are responsible for
- Opportunities to participate in Agile work environment
- Perform ad hoc tasks outside of primary responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or related business discipline preferred
- 2 years finance, insurance industry, or actuarial experience
- Completion of preliminary exams up to ASA
- Base understanding of insurance products and operations
- Strong oral and written communication skills, detail oriented with strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Strong technical skills in 1 or more of the following: Excel spreadsheets, Python, databases, actuarial projection/valuation software
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to effectively communicate with manager and other team members
- Must have a positive attitude, and be able to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to ask questions and seek guidance when necessary
