Job Description
As an Actuarial Director on our Advisory Trend Analytics Consulting team, you will lead in health care cost analytics, leveraging your actuarial expertise to drive financial analysis and model building. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S., tackling complex challenges that directly impact health plan competitiveness and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Utilize detailed health care claims data to develop and maintain actuarial models.
Identify and address modeling shortcomings, proposing effective solutions.
Conduct complex analyses to derive key insights for consulting engagements.
Prepare client-ready deliverables that are visually compelling and insightful.
Lead client meetings and collaborate across teams to drive project delivery.
Design and implement data programs and forecast models using tools such as SAS, SQL, R, Python, Excel, and Tableau.
Advise clients on business strategy, operational efficiency, and healthcare best practices.
Mentor junior consultants and contribute to talent development within the organization.
Support business development efforts, including financial analysis and proposal development.
Contribute to thought leadership initiatives and marketing efforts within the consulting space.
Required Qualifications
Actuarial credential (ASA or FSA).
Minimum 3 years of experience collaborating across functions and presenting analytical findings.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel; experience with data programs and modeling tools.
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of experience in Healthcare, Finance, or related industries.
Experience in healthcare consulting and project management.
Familiarity with health care claims forecasting.
