The Office of Admissions is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Admissions Officer I. In this role, you'll oversee the initial processing of applications, manage residency classifications, and communicate extensively with applicants and academic departments, with a focus on international and online programs.
Key Responsibilities Include
Application Processing
Coordinate the initial processing of undergraduate, graduate, professional, and certificate applications, with a focus on international and online applicants.
Maintain thorough knowledge of majors, degrees, and program levels for efficient application review.
Participate in cross-training with applicant services employees to effectively process applications.
Ensure timely and efficient review of all required information and credentials for applications.
Advising and Support
Advise applicants and academic departments via phone and email regarding the application process and any additional credentials needed.
Support OneStop Enrollment Services staff with escalated admissions inquiries received via phone, email, or in-person.
Participate in cross-functional events, advise on committees, and assist with creating reference materials for staff training.
Data Management
Manage application data in the application processing system (Slate) and ensure accurate integration with the student information system (Campus Solutions).
Create new organizations in the student information system and maintain corresponding school data within Slate.
Troubleshoot and correct data discrepancies in various systems.
Other Duties
Finalize admitted international students by reviewing credentials, managing holds, and evaluating hold deferral requests in preparation for student registration.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
This position is located at the University of Florida's main campus in Gainesville, FL and may be eligible for a flexible, hybrid work arrangement in accordance with the University of Florida and Division of Enrollment Management's policies.
Expected Salary
$43,888 annually
