Job Summary

The After School Enrichment Program Site Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the After School Program meets all program guidelines. They must be able to plan and organize a structured program consisting of educational and recreational activities according to age group, supervise staff and maintain a high level of communication between school administration, staff, and supervisors.

Job Responsibilities

  • Overall supervision of the after school (and if applicable vacation camp day and summer enrichment) programs.
  • Ensure appropriate weekly lesson plans with all program components (i.e. academic support, fitness fun, arts/music and STEM) are created, posted and implemented
  • Hire and supervise assigned enrichment team members including training new team members and monitoring performance on an on-going basis.
  • Monitor appropriate coverage of classrooms through daily staffing schedules and floating staff and students into classrooms as needed.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to budget including:
    • Monitoring enrichment program supplies/budget
    • Monitoring parent payments/follow up as needed.
    • Monitoring ratios/classroom staffing based on # of students (including dismissing staff when numbers warrant)
  • Track Enrichment Program Attendance, accuracy, compliance with regulations (i.e. sign in via Brightwheel).
  • Address any parent concerns/facilitate parent communication including behavior notices
  • Communicate any issues with School leadership/Principal and Agency Program Coordinator.
  • Develop “after school clubs” and other additional enrichment activities.
  • Comply with requirements and guidelines set forth by UCP, HIPAA, 4C, Department of Children and Families, and other State and Federal agencies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Training: (or equivalent)

  • Associate’s Degree (or equivalent college credits)
  • 45 Hour – DCF Training
  • Prefer – DCF Director Credential

Minimum Experience

  • 2 years or more experience working with children 3-11 in an educational or recreational setting.
  • 2 years supervisory experience
  • Prefer program management experience
