Job Description

We are seeking a talented and innovative AR/VR Software Engineer to join our team. As an AR/VR Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing AR and VR applications and experiences. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create cutting-edge solutions that redefine user interaction and engagement in virtual and augmented environments.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • AR/VR Application Development: Design and develop immersive AR/VR applications, simulations, and experiences using Unity3D, Unreal Engine, or other relevant frameworks.
  • 3D Modeling and Animation: Create and integrate 3D models, animations, textures, and effects to enhance visual fidelity and user experience in AR/VR environments.
  • User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) Design: Design intuitive user interfaces and engaging user experiences for AR/VR applications; optimize UI/UX for performance and usability.
  • Real-time Interaction: Implement real-time interaction mechanics, gestures, and input systems (e.g., hand tracking, motion controllers) to enhance user immersion and interaction.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize AR/VR applications for performance, including frame rate, memory usage, and rendering efficiency; conduct debugging and profiling as needed.
  • Cross-platform Development: Ensure compatibility and performance across different AR/VR platforms (e.g., Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, HoloLens, Magic Leap).
  • Integration and Deployment: Integrate AR/VR applications with backend services, APIs, and third-party SDKs; manage deployment processes and ensure smooth release cycles.
  • Research and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in AR/VR development; explore new features and capabilities to enhance application functionalities.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience (X years) as an AR/VR Software Engineer, Game Developer, or similar role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating AR/VR applications and experiences.
  • Proficiency in Unity3D and/or Unreal Engine for AR/VR development; familiarity with C#, C++, or other relevant programming languages.
  • Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender, Maya), animation, and shader development for creating immersive visuals.
  • Solid understanding of UI/UX design principles and best practices in the context of AR/VR applications.
  • Knowledge of real-time rendering techniques, physics simulations, and spatial audio.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in AR/VR applications.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
