The Area Sales Manager is responsible for prospecting new dealers, building relationships and closing sales/deals with dealers in their geographic area of responsibility. This sales position is for the Western region. This role requires a self-starter with excellent communication skills and a strong ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with internal teams.


Your Primary Duties and Responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and manage a target/conversion list of dealers within the assigned territory.
  • Prospect and cold-call potential dealers with the assigned territory to generate new business opportunities.
  • Conduct in-person meetings with prospects to understand their needs, present product/service offerings and negotiate dealer contracts to close sales.
  • Maintain aggressive end user call schedule throughout the year; meet with end users to generate awareness and understanding of StruXure’s existing and new products and services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with select dealers and their dealer sales representatives (key dealers in the geography).
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs for new business development goals, including revenue goals and conversion rates.
  • Ensure dealers and dealer representatives are scheduled and attend training.
  • Consult with dealers regarding usage of marketing and promotional materials.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales support, marketing, and product development, to provide solutions that meet customer needs and drive sales growth.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline opportunities in the CRM system.
  • Provide regular updates and sales reports to management on sales performance, pipeline status, and forecasts.
  • Actively participate in the resolution of customer concerns/complaints.
  • Act as a representative at trade shows nationally and/or regionally.
  • Keeps supervisor informed of key issues/changes occurring in assigned territory such as: competitor programs/products/actions, changes in dealers/distributors, dealer personnel, etc.


We believe the successful candidate will need:

  • 1 - 6 + years related outside sales experience
  • Bachelor's Degree required in Sales, Marketing, Business or related. As with all positions at AZEK, a satisfactory combination of education and professional experience will be considered
  • Proven track record of success in outside sales or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Strong sales acumen with excellent prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish credibility with clients at all levels.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to maximize productivity and sales performance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel overnight.
  • Travel 75%


Success Metrics:

Ninety (90) Days:

  • Met with your top 30 dealers
  • Completed dealer/product training
  • Completed training on AIA presentation and action selling

Six (6) Months:

  • Determine goals and action plans for new dealer conversions

One (1) Year:

  • Exceed Sales Incentive Plan goal for new dealers
  • Increase pipeline activities

Compensation for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The annual salary for this role is $65,000 to $75,000. In addition to base salary, we offer generous bonus and incentive opportunities that significantly increase earning potential.
