We are looking for a senior hands-on Payments Business Analyst with excellent communication skills and extensive experience in the banking sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of payment systems, processes, and regulations, and will play a key role in driving business analysis and requirements gathering for payment-related projects.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct thorough business analysis to understand and document business requirements for payment systems and processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed business requirements documents, use cases, and functional specifications.
- Analyze and map current and future state business processes, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Work closely with IT teams to ensure technical solutions align with business requirements and objectives.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements, validate solutions, and ensure alignment.
- Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments for changes to payment systems and processes.
- Support project testing phases, including developing test plans, test cases, and coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Provide subject matter expertise on payment systems, processes, and industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to payments.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the banking sector, with a focus on payments.
- Strong understanding of payment systems, processes, and regulations.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques (e.g., process mapping, requirements management).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, JIRA) is a plus.
