Exciting opportunity to join a scaling start-up on a mission to support a circular economy of the battery supply chain through resale, reuse, and recycling as their Global Business Development Manager.


Working directly with the CEO, they are now seeking a motivated salesperson who’s driven to be successful in their role, while acting as a key business partner in developing their customer network. This position requires a proactive approach to sales, excellent relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of how to solve real problems within an emerging market.


The ideal candidate would have experience selling to customers globally, exposure to the nature of B2B sales, and the level of adaptability and drive required to establish a new wing of the business independently.


Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage with global organizations interested in purchasing batteries and other renewable equipment.
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Implement strategic sales initiatives to expand the customer base and increase market penetration.
  • Facilitate and own a 360-degree sales cycle from prospecting through to closing.
  • Travel as needed for industry events (conferences, trade shows, client visits, etc.).
  • Collaborate with operation and compliance teams to draft proposals and sales agreements.


Qualifications:

  • 2-5 total years of sales experience
  • Track record of success in a B2B sales role
  • Familiarity within the battery industry, renewable energy, utility scale power, electric vehicle, and the material handling sectors is helpful but by no means necessary
  • Experience doing business/selling internationally (APAC preferred)
  • History of building relationships and nurturing partnerships with key customers
  • Price negotiation and cost-analysis
  • Experience selling or working with one of more of the following: Large Renewable (solar, wind, battery) Developers or engineering, procurement, and construction companies (EPCs), Material handling equipment (battery powered), Battery recycling or raw minerals supply chain.
