A third-party administrator (TPA) is looking for a Claims Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in managing commercial auto, bodily injury and litigated claims. This Claims Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the claims process by ensuring timely and accurate resolution and maintaining excellent customer service standards. This is an onsite role located in Texas.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in building and managing a team of claims adjusters by providing guidance, training and performance evaluations.
Oversee the end-to-end claims process, including intake, investigation, evaluation, negotiation and settlement of commercial auto, bodily injury and litigated claims.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, legal precedents and emerging trends to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues and fostering positive relationships.
Proactively manage service level agreement (SLA) compliance.
Report to the chief operating officer on claim metrics, SLA compliance and claim quality.
Facilitate back-office support for required client and financial reporting.
Participate in marketing calls and visits with clients, as needed.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in commercial auto claims management
Proven track record of success in handling bodily injury and litigated claims
Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a TPA or insurance company
Strong knowledge of insurance principles, regulations and best practices within the commercial auto insurance sector
Excellent leadership skills
Ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team
Exceptional communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in relevant software applications, including claims management systems and Microsoft Office suite
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
