Overview
We are currently looking for a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join a well respected client of ours in the Connecticut area. This client has offices in both Ridgefield and Fairfield and is open to the new hire sitting in either office location. The CL Account Manager will meet the overall insurance needs of clients. Provide prompt, accurate, courteous, and professional service to clients, producers and company representatives in order to retain and grow the Commercial Lines book of business.
Principal Responsibilities
Provide in depth, attentive service to an assigned book of small and middle market commercial lines accounts.
Responsible for all transactions needed to retain the book of business, such as new business, renewals, audits, endorsements, cancellations and related premium billing.
Monitor monthly expiration lists closely and initiate renewal activity as established by internal procedures for all assigned accounts.
Review existing accounts for additional or enhanced coverage and negotiate renewal of accounts as appropriate.
Place clients with, and maximize utilization of, company service centers wherever possible.
Maintain a professional relationship with clients, co-workers and company representatives.
Prepare and maintain complete and accurate marketing submissions in Epic as needed.
Utilize company website portals for quoting new lines of business, requesting changes and for monitoring policy activities as appropriate.
Support producers in obtaining underwriting information and rating of new business.
Respond promptly to all service requests from clients.
Maintain up to date client files in Epic.
Make qualified referrals to Personal Lines, Life and Health and Bank partners as opportunities arise.
Follow department policies, procedures and best practices.
Prioritize work according to established guidelines.
Assist Manager and team members as needed.
Education/Experience
High School Graduate
3-5 years' experience handling small and / or middle market commercial accounts preferred
Experience working with carrier service centers preferred
Licensed P/C agent in resident state
ACSR, AAl or CIC professional designation a plus
