JOB SUMMARY:Focuses on guest engagement and reputation management through social media, and the creation of original content for Six Flags Darien Lake's social platforms. Assists in all Marketing/Communications department functions, including planning and executing events.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Develop social media content calendar and produce content for on-time deliveryCreate (write, produce, shoot, edit) video content for parks social media, website and internal communicationsExecution and management of daily production and post-production tasks, editing and web deliverability to meet deadlinesAssists with park photos, b-roll videos, media openings or events for Public RelationsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAssists with all sampling and Corporate Partnership dutiesAssists with signage installation throughout the parkAssists with monitoring social media and contributes to social media strategyAssists with website edits and audits throughout the seasonMaintain Park video and image archivesEnsure image, cleanliness and courtesy standards requirements are metWilling to interact with guests and assist with in park tasksAble to work efficiently in a fast - paced environment with an ongoing and friendly demeanorMust be professional, self-motivated, be able to multi-task and have an enthusiastic attitudeORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTUREReports to the Marketing/Communications ManagerDepartment: MarketingMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Be at least 18 years of agePursuing a degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field preferredComputer Literacy. Strong knowledge of social media platforms, all Microsoft applications and Adobe Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop and PremierRequired to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends and holidaysPassion for the event industry with a focus on communications, marketing, tourism, theme parks and venue managementReact well in stressful and emergency situationsPhotography, Video filming and editing skillsPrevious public relations, marketing, communications, journalism, or customer service experience a plusMust have a valid driver's licenseComfortable working in a mixed office/outside in the park environment. Must have the ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel and lift to forty pounds
